“I’m glad I ignored my friend, who said I shouldn’t buy the Model Train Help book,
because it wasn’t produced by one of the big companies. When I quizzed him he
admitted he hadn’t even read t
he book he was criticizing (or ebook as you call it). He
nearly put me wrong!
I made up my own mind and got it – best decision I made all
year. I refer to it a lot, especially when I get stuck.”
BJ ‘The Engineer’, Columbus, Ohio.

“I really liked the detailed descriptions of a good fiddle yard layout in the Model Train
E-book. I’m about to build one (or try to) and your timing was perfect."
Pete M, Bradford, UK.

“I was struggling to understand DCC. After reading your explanation, it was like a
light going on in my brain. It now makes sense. I’m not frightened of it any more
thanks to your model-train-help ebook.”
Graeme H, Brisbane, Australia.

“BoilerMan here! Great book! You are to be congratulated! Keep chuggin along!”
HR ‘BoilerMan’, Milwaukee, Wis.

“I discovered what I was doing wrong (engine stopping and starting). I fixed this after a
little fiddling around. You were right in what you said in the chapter on locomotives
and power supply. My Bachmann Santa Fe is running like a dream now!”
Jim P, Port Elizabeth, S.A.

“As a beginner, I want to thank you. I found it hard to get train stuff that was easy for
me to get started. I wanted things explained simply and one step at a time. You did
that right thru the e-book. Thanks to you I didn’t lose interest and give up.”
‘TrainDude’ Doug, Philadelphia, Pa.
In his Model Train Help ebook, author Robert Anderson explains how to construct scenery, make rocks, build
mountains, model a waterfall, create roads, add ground cover and covers many other model railroad topics.
Model Train Help also has links to tutorials on electrically joining baseboards and other topics like how to wire
a reversing loop.
Although the PDF ebook doesn’t cover everything (it would be impractical to do so), it does explain a huge
range of information in its more than 200 pages. It is not hard to read as the author tries really hard to keep
things simple, as model railroading can get complex at times.
The Model Train Help book (in PDF form to your computer) is a number one seller with rave reviews from
many very happy customers. That is not to say it is going to please everyone. As with any book for the model
railroader, there are always going to be people at different levels of the hobby. The purist might be
disappointed if he (or she) is looking for a 5,000 page text book on intricate wiring for his/her layout. However,
for most in the hobby (from beginner to experienced model railroader), there is plenty of “meat” in this
publication. It has pages of clever ideas and helpful tips for everyone in the hobby. It doesn’t really matter
whether they are into N gauge, HO scale, OO gauge or any other scale, there is something in the book for
everyone.
